JUSTIN C. ORTAGUS

Justin Ortagus is an assistant professor in the School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education and director of the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Florida. His research typically examines how online education, community colleges, and state policies impact the opportunities and outcomes of underserved students.

Justin has published research in Educational Researcher, AERA Open, the Journal of Higher Education, Research in Higher Education, the Review of Higher Education, Educational Policy, and the Higher Education: Handbook of Theory and Research. His recent work has been featured in Inside Higher Ed, U.S. News & World Report, Business Insider, and other outlets.
